Shari Day
President & CEO
An advertising industry veteran, Shari Day joined the agency in 2010 and was named president/CEO in 2015 and acquired majority ownership in 2022. Under her leadership, Shari guided the bold rebranding which resulted in a new name and new look. Artists&Outlaws reflects Shari’s own creative expertise and her boundary-breaking approach. She truly embodies the agency’s tagline—we make our own way, but we get there together. A significant portion of Shari’s time is spent forward-looking, identifying growth opportunities and strategizing with senior leadership to expand the agency’s industry footprint. Simultaneously, she contributes to client meetings, participates in new business pitches and celebrates team successes, all while fostering a work/life-balanced culture.
Her career path is proof of “earn it, don’t expect it.” Shari is proud to be among the growing minority of female ad agency CEOs. She is a board member for the American Association of Advertising Agencies, the industry’s leading trade organization. Shari represents the Southern region, and her advocacy plays an active role in shaping and supporting the organization’s initiatives, helping to guide and advance the advertising and marketing communications community. Her 37-year career includes work with a broad range of clients including Ascension Saint Thomas Health, Dollar General, BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee, the University of Tennessee Medical Center, Pigeon Forge (Tennessee) Tourism, Sea Ray Boats, Azimut Yachts and Boston Whaler.

With a career spanning three decades, Farley Day is comfortable at both ends of the advertising spectrum. From niche campaigns to national rollouts, his career has taken him from Los Angeles to Nashville and along the way, he’s worked with clients large (Fortune 100) and small to create and execute effective advertising and marketing programs. He has a passion for helping clients refine their vision, whether he’s building a roadmap for a start-up company or lending his vast experience to an established brand. His expertise for customer engagement and crystal-clear messaging elevates Artists&Outlaws’ campaigns and delivers measurable and impactful results. Farley’s successful track record as a leader is most evident as he guides our retail curriculum of national clients, including Dollar General.

With more than 30 years of creative leadership experience, Jon plays a key role in shaping Artists&Outlaws’ creative vision and delivering impactful, award-winning work across a diverse client portfolio. He has a keen sense for matching talent with tasks for winning outcomes. Jon has led integrated campaigns for national and regional brands including Toyota, Dollar General, O’Charley’s, Pigeon Forge (Tennessee) Tourism, United Way, BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee, the National Football League, Ford, Jaguar, Miller Brewing, MasterCraft Boats, Zebco, and Epiphone guitars. Known for his strategic insight, collaborative approach and commitment to creative excellence, Jon continues to elevate the agency’s creative output and inspire the next generation of talent. His work has garnered recognition from the ATHENA Awards, Communication Arts, The Drum, Graphis and Lürzer’s Archive.

Brian Gilpatrick

Brian’s 30-plus years of advertising and brand-building expertise is firmly grounded by his background in market research and his desire to problem solve. His ability to harvest strategic insights and inform multi-discipline marketing plans secures him a seat at each client’s table. In addition to demonstrating a strong ability to lead both internal and external teams from concepts to creative execution, his input provides a key component in shaping our clients most successful campaigns. In addition, Brian guides Artists&Outlaws’ daily operations, ensuring that the team has the resources and capacity to effectively and successfully work with a variety of clients—both large and small—across all verticals.
